Call for volunteers to serve on Turning Point Amanzimtoti board

Turning Point Amanzimtoti (TPA) needs community members who are willing to serve as board directors.

TPA is a registered NGO and 18A exempt.

“Our mission is to provide care and support to victims of trauma and abuse, and to facilitate restoration by empowering individuals, families and the community through transformation interventions,” said centre manager, Loraine Odendaal.-

“To reach our mandate, we require the services of community members who are willing to serve as board directors to provide strategic direction to the organisation on a voluntary basis. Volunteering for non-profit organisations is a process that is richly rewarding for all involved.”

TPA seeks candidates who fulfil the following criteria:

* Middle to senior management experience or business entrepreneur;

* Experience in a previous or current board director role is an advantage;

* A degree or higher qualification in any discipline;

* Clear criminal and credit records;

* Available to meet at least once per quarter.
