Amanzimtoti verge cutting cycle won’t be snipped

Amanzimtoti will still receive all its scheduled verge cuttings.

This was confirmed by ward 97 councillor, Andre Beetge who said each region receives four to six planned cut and drop cuttings per annum.

“The southern wards should be receiving their second cutting, but this was delayed by the contractors so we are still in the first,” said Cllr Beetge.

The delay was further exacerbated by the October storm damage and subsequent excess growth as a result of the higher rainfall.

“The area will receive a clean-up prior to the start of the festive season.”
