Hydrate with thirst-quenching lemon water

Lemon water is one of the most beneficial drinks to consume if you are battling with digestion, have a grumpy stomach or a weak immune system.

Packed with vitamin C, lemon is also great for hydration.

All you need is a few slices of fresh lemon and a glass of water or bottle of water, whichever you prefer.

Among its many plus-es are:

Digestion: The best lemon water benefit may be from the temperature of the water and not even the added lemon. Drinking any water, but especially warm water, first thing in the morning helps flush the digestive system and rehydrate the body

A natural flush: The liver is extremely active during sleep, since sleep is the body’s time to restore and regenerate. Drinking enough water, especially in the morning is crucial to aid the organs to reboot.

A little immune system boost: Lemons contain Vitamin C, not a spectacularly high amount, but 30-50mg per lemon, and they contain potassium. It’s a fairly passive way to increase your vitamin C intake without really paying attention.

Drinking lemon water first thing in the morning gives the body a chance to absorb these vitamins effectively and can provide an immune-boosting start.
