In a report released at about 3.30pm, ER24 paramedics said they had responded and found another emergency paramedic service already in attendance at what initially appeared to be an accident scene. A wrecked bakkie was found on its roof on the roadside.

On closer inspection, paramedics discovered the body of a man lying inside the vehicle.

They assessed him and found he had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to his head. Nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead by another service.

The exact details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
