CCPO recovers Beach Road burglars’ stashed stolen booty

THE Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO) responded to a flat burglary in Beach Road, Amanzimtoti on Wednesday, 11 April.

Fortunately the stolen cell phones and laptop were found stashed in nearby bush, but the money from a stolen wallet was gone.

“After receiving a call regarding a house break-in at flats along Beach Road just before 6am, CCPO along with Amanzimtoti SAPS, Blue Security and ET Security rushed to the scene. Cell phones, a wallet and a laptop had been stolen from a first floor flat. All parties cornered off the bush alongside the targeted flats and the promenade,” explained CCPO’s George Snodey.

He explained that after searching the bushes, the stolen property was recovered in the bush, except for the money in the wallet.

CCPO clarified that the flat occupants are not CCPO members, but have been made aware that they cannot to be assisted by the crime prevention organisation if they do not become members.

Call George Snodey on 083-655-4302 to sign up to CCPO.
