Man killed in Isipingo hijacking

The destroyed Mazda 2 after it was hijacked in Isipingo on Thursday, 10 May.

An employee was stabbed and killed, and a vehicle hijacked by an armed man outside a hardware store on Old Main Road in Isipingo on Thursday, 10 May.

Alpha Alarms reported the vehicle was recovered in Folweni and the hijacker apprehended. “It is believed the employee was standing in front of the vehicle and was stabbed twice in the chest by the suspect,” said Alpha Alarms communications officer, Krishnee Naidoo.

The hijacker fled in a Mazda 2 which he flipped over in Folweni and was swiftly apprehended on scene.
