Amanzimtoti rabies clinic scheduled after dog tests positive

The State Veterinarian’s Office will vaccinate all dogs and cats in the Amanzimtoti area against rabies on Friday, 18 May from 1pm to 3pm in the parking lot of the Amanzimtoti Civic Centre in Hutchison Road.

This service is done free of charge.

The scheduling of the rabies clinic follows a stray dog which was diagnosed as having rabies in the area between Adams Road and Cato Crescent. The infected dog was seen fighting with several others dogs in the area, which means the disease could have spread.
