Journey back in time with Kingsway High

Kingsway High School pupils are hard at work perfecting their latest stage offering ‘65 Years of Music’. The supper theatre takes place on Wednesday and Thursday, 18 and 19 July at Bazley Hall at the school at 7pm. The cost is R50 per person. Take your own picnic basket but unfortunately no alcohol is allowed.

There is an additional show on Tuesday, 17 July at a reduced cost of R30 per person. This also starts at 7pm.

“Kingsway High turns 65 this year and we have decided to celebrate this momentous occasion by looking back at the past,” said Sham Naidoo, who is in charge of the musical.

“Our musical this year celebrates most of the musicals staged in the past, such as ‘Annie’, ‘Men in Tights (Robin Hood)’, ‘Captain Hook’, ‘A Lad in Love (Aladdin)’, ‘Sophiatown’ and others. A song, dance or short scene from the musicals staged in the past have been taken and woven loosely into a new script that revolves around the anniversary celebrations. The result is a 90-minute rip-roaring, foot-stamping showcase of Kingsway’s talent.”

Tickets can be purchased at the school on 031-903-2353.
