CCPO keeps Toti streets safe

Sharp work from the Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO) netted a number of criminals this week.

Timeline: Tuesday morning, 2 February

While patrolling in Lewis Drive on Tuesday morning, 2 February, CCPO and Blue Security patrol officer, Mbuyiselo ‘Triple M’ Mdunjane noticed two men carrying buckets of paint.

With assistance from CCPO supervisor, Wayne Smerdon, the men were questioned. They said they had got the paint in Montclair.

They were handed over to SAPS for further investigation.

Timeline: Wednesday evening, 1 February

On Wednesday evening, 1 February CCPO supervisor, Michael Mkhize posted guards Hopewell and Isaac in Eland Avenue, Amanzimtoti.

The guards observed two men with what they believed to be stolen property. One of the men was apprehended, while the other fled in a vehicle.

The men had allegedly stolen the items from the one man’s employer.

A case has been opened and the man was detained by Toti SAPS.
