Safeguard your loved ones over Easter

The South African Police in eThekwini outer south cluster appeals to the community to ensure their motor vehicles and holiday guests are safe this Easter.

“It is that time of the year when many holidaymakers travel from far to visit family and friends in Amanzimtoti,” said Capt Carmen Rhynes.

“There are also a number of celebrations and functions happening during this Easter festive period at churches and community halls.

We request that when a function or celebration is arranged, part of the planning is to ensure that people are arranged to help look after the vehicles parked on the premises or the side of the road.”

Capt Rhynes also appeals to motor vehicle owners and holidaymakers to ensure valuable belongings are not visible or left in the vehicles which could create an opportunity for crime.

“We hope that crimes such as theft of motor vehicle, theft out of and from motor vehicles are prevented during this period. Together we can work to ensure crime is prevented. SAPS eThekwini Outer South Cluster wishes you and your family a safe and wonderful Easter holiday.”
