Hijacked Polo found crashed alongside Amanzimtoti River

The white VW Polo that was hijacked on the M37 (Moss Kolnik Road).

A hijacked vehicle was found by the Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO) in the old River Gardens area in the early hours of Sunday morning, 16 April.

CCPO patrol officer, Michael Mkhize came across the white VW Polo which had crashed in the vicinity at about 3.30am.

“With no occupants to be seen, Mkhize checked with Toti SAPS to verify if the vehicle was reported as stolen or not, only to find the vehicle had been hijacked earlier on Moss Kolnick Road,” said CCPO committee member, George Snodey.

Toti SAPS was notified and the vehicle was removed to the police station for further investigation.
