Call for parents to attend cricket club AGM

AMANZIMTOTI Cricket Club will hold its AGM at Warnadoone Surf Lifesaving Club starting at 7pm on Friday, 26 May.

There will be a bring and braai, but no cooler boxes as this is a licensed club, straight after the AGM.

Children will be able to play on the beach in safety in front of the clubhouse as it is a well lit area.

The club committee asks that all senior members and junior parents attend this meeting as there are a number of important decisions that need to be made with regard to both senior and junior structures and teams for the new season. It is also the ideal opportunity for a good social evening.

New players wishing to join the club are welcome to attend.

Amanzimtoti Cricket Academy is now in full operation and the Academy is very fortunate to have the services of Zane Bux as head coach. Zane is currently one of the top junior coaches in the province. Parents who have children who would like to join the Academy should call Jan Nel on 072-475-5273.

Negotiations are underway at the KZN Cricket Union to introduce an U19 league when the new season starts. This league will play on Sunday mornings, playing 30 overs per team. The club invites players between the ages of 15 and 19 to call Rex Hindman on 072-501-8363 for more details.

For all cricket lovers, the finals of the Winter T20 League will be played on Toti Oval on Sunday, 21 May with the B final starting at 9am and the A final at 1pm. These teams have a number of KZN and Dolphins players in the sides.
